Cabletron Systems E6 Series Desktop Network Interface (DNI) cardsenable users to connect Macintosh II NuBus systems to an Ethernet networkusing a wide variety of transmission media including twisted pair, fiberoptic, and coaxial cable.The E6 series interface is available in six styles for any MacintoshII with a NuBus. Each E6 series DNI card is available with 16 KB or 64KB of onboard buffer memory.Cabletron's DNI cards were the industry's first PC network interfacecards to have built-in network management and analyzer capabilities.Network administrators can gather information from and control the DNIcards using remote network management stations.
